The roots of Colmar originated back in the 1920’s, and although not initially called Colmar, creators Mario and Irma Colombo started the foundations with a company called Manfattura Mario Colombo.

Production of hats and gaiters was to be the first garments made, to cater for an ever growing demand within Monza’s clothing industry. 

The 20’s and 30’s witnessed a massive expansion in the brand both in Monza and in the exportation globally, and by this point the new name of Colmar was established (a partial anagram of Mario  Colombo’s name)

Throughout the years Colmar has been at the forefront of sporting prowess, the elite sporting apparel, however the creation of the Colmar Originals line in 2009 introduced the brand into modern urban culture, becoming an everyday lifestyle brand throughout Europe.
