​Laboratory Perfumes was founded in 2011, The British company aimed to craft unique, gender-free fragrances, scientifically formulated to react to the wearer and evolve over the day. Inspired by the natural flowers, herbs and aromatic botanicals of Britain and beyond, the range of scents and candles is made with natural oils, selected with care and blended with precision.
It’s a new method of making perfume the old-fashioned way.
All their scents and candles are made in the UK using environmentally friendly and cruelty-free ingredients. 
TONKA
An exotic fragrance capturing the zing of mandarin and pink peppercorn alongside warm woodland aromatics, finishing with the earthy vanilla of the tonka bean.
AMBER
Slowly shifting from initial notes of spice and greenery to layers of wood and balmy ambergris beneath, Amber is a rich and inviting expression of balance and complexity.
SAMPHIRE
Evoking the invigorating coastal air, Samphire blends juniper and verbena with lavender, basil and rosemary, with undertones of white amber and oak moss.

​Layers of rum, vanilla and hay that intensified its North African character. Spiced with cinnamon, ginger and black pepper, and complemented with the warming, woody aromas of fine Cognac, the result is a complex and confident fragrance that unveils intriguing new layers and facets as the day goes on.
GORSE
A crisp and zesty citrus with a coconut note and a hint of cardamom, this elegant scent transports you to the gorse-dotted countryside of southern France.
ECO & ETHICS
Laboratory Perfumes endeavour to try and look after the world. After all as they state ‘it’s where both the inspiration and the ingredients for our fragrances come from’. All practices and perfumes performed by the company are formed in accordance with the same Hippocratic principle underpinning modern medicine: ‘first, do no harm’.
All their scents and candles are made in the UK using socially conscious, environmentally friendly and cruelty-free ingredients. They do not test on animals and their scents are created in their lab using essential and fragrant oils.  All of them are skin-kind and free from parabens (Gorse does contain a small amount of phthalates & preservatives which are required to stabilise the citrus oils).
Lastly, all of their products are full compliant with the International Fragrance Association Standards.
Laboratory Perfumes fragrances are made with non-animal-derived ingredients and therefore vegan, and their scented candles are made with paraffin wax – with the exception of Atlas (their lab tests showed that this particular fragrance has to be infused into beeswax in order to preserve the integrity of the scent).
The company demands the same ethical and environmental standards of everyone they work with - they believe in a small supply chain, transparent, located entirely within the UK and fully adherent to ISO 9000: 2008. All glass, card and paper used in Laboratory Perfumes packaging is sustainably sourced and widely recycled.
Finally, Laboratory Perfumes fragrances are intended to be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. Gender is the one thing we really don’t care about.
